OUR HISTORY

Our winter sports school was founded in 1974 by Jacques Stump, who developed a revolutionary ski teaching technique : The gradual length method (GLM®).

AT THAT TIME, IT WAS THE FIRST INDEPENDENT SWISS SKI SCHOOL.

In 1990, Thierry and Patricia Chevalley take over. They continue to innovate for a further 17 years: Villars Ski School becomes the first Swiss ski school to offer snowboard lessons, carving lessons and more…

In 2007, three of the school’s instructors take over and expand the ski school with a new mountain excursion department, dedicated to offering mountain activities for groups and businesses.

In 2014, one of them takes over and continues to this day to innovate and develop the company with different activities.

OUR METHOD:  EVOLUTIVE (GLM)

THE GRADUAL LENGH METHOD (GLM)

The creation of our Snow Sports School in 1974 was motivated by the development of a revolutionary teaching technique : The Gradual Length Method (GLM®)

For beginners, this method has the advantages of being both simple and coherent. Apprehension and its associated dangers have become things of the past. After a few days of great fun you will have turned into a real skier.

You’ll be fitted out with very short (1m) skis, allowing you to parallel ski right from day one. The length of your skis will be progressively increased in accordance with your progress.
